Nature Woodland Walk

Our magical woodland trail is a natural wonder with its winding gravel paths stretching over 12 acres. Viewing points overlook the River Thurso towards our town, with Dunnet Head in the distance. The trail will take you round some beautiful nature scenes, including a wildlife pond, a waterfall, the Burn of Geise with The Lost Geise Distillery, and our iconic Tree of Life.

Your Visit Info

  • We are located on the Stagecoach Route 82 (Thurso-Halkirk-Wick), just 2 miles from town.
  • Please note that there are no toilet facilities.
  • We can’t take any responsibility for any of the animals actions.
  • Please do not feed your own food to the animals, as they all need a special diet. But you can buy their favourite snacks from us to feed them.
  • Paths are wheelchair and pushchair accessible.
  • Be mindful of your surroundings.
  • Bring a picnic and stay as long as you like.
